DAVID CHERRY MCLACHLAN WAS MY DAD ,I AM THE YOUNGEST OF A FAMILY OF 10,SO AS U CAN IMAGINE I WAS A SPOILED WEE DADDYS GIRL.MY DAD WAS A LOVELY HAPPY MAN LOVED BY EVERYONE,ALWAYS SPOKE TO EVERYONE UNTIL ONE NITE HE WENT OUT TO A WORKS NITE OUT AND WAS DUN UP AND HAD HIS FACE ALL SLASHED,AFTER THIS MY DAD WAS NEVER THE SAME ,HE WOULDNT GO OUT AFTER 5PM ,WOULDNT SPEAK TO ANYONE,SADLY SHORTLY AFTER UPTHIS MY DAD DIED OF A MASSIVE HEART ATTACK WHICK I BLAME ON HIM BEIN BEAT UP ,I MISS HIM SO MUCH I WAS ONLY YOUNG WHEN HE DIED BUT I REMEMBER IT LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY BECOUSE I FOUND HIM IN HIS BED DEAD ,AND I REMEMBER IT SO CLEARLY ,I ONLY WISH HE WAS HERE TODAY TO SEE ALL OUR KIDS ,HE WOULD HAVE LOVED EACH AND EVERY ONE A THUM ,SO DA NOO WEE JAMES IS UP THERE U LOOK AFTER HIM FOR JOYCE&JAMIE AN THE REST A THE FAMILY WE NO HE WILL B FINE WHEN HES WA U I WILL ALWAYS LUV AND MISS U DAD WE ALL DO ESPECIALLY MY MA HOW SHE HAS COPED AW THESE YEARS WITHOUT U A REALLY DONT NO,ANYWAY DA WE ALL LUV AN MISS U LOADS SO GOOD NITE AND GOD BLESS XX DADDYS LITTLE GIRL SHARON XXXX

It does not seem like 32 years since you died I can still remember it I was not allowe to go to your funeral my ma said i was too young i was sent yo school after all I was only 9 years old when you died but i can still remember when my ma took me to the dentist to get my teeth oot and she would take me to your house in Langdale St and you would say get that wain a hot cup of sweet tea that will help her.
